The Fear Of Love
I miss the feeling of walking on cloud 9
when minds and bodies peak as one
and where there is no fear of love,
and days are filled with joy and fun.
I'm scared of waking up by myself,
with the bed made on the other side.
But I'm scared to give my heart away,
my tears hold too much pride.
I'm scared of being single
but I need someone to keep me strong.
and I'm scared of another heart break
for the pain lasts way too long.
So many memories of love gone bad
now I'm afraid of letting go,
or letting him love me,
I'm so scared to let love show.
Scared to death of falling to deep
for I remember the highs and lows too.
I remember soaring high in the sky,
and cradleing my heart wrenching blues.
I'm scared of loosing my voice to silence
no one to hear me and listen.
But I'm scared to give my 'all' to someone,
then finding out their heart is missing.
I'm scared of lonely days
and the long lonely nights.
I'm scared love will turn into arguements,
how I hate those bitter angry fights.
So what happens now?
if loneliness and love is never dared.
I'm either going to have to find out,
or I'm just going to die scared.
I know I can't live in fear,
and I can't live in doubt.
I'm going to face my fear of love,
however it turns out,
...where...
'I don't have to be afraid to love him'
and with happiness, my love can shout!
