Butterflies And Angel Wings
They are the loveliest of things,
Butterflies and angel wings.

They must be closely related
For the beauty they possess.
Do butterflies fly with angels?
That would be my guess.

Often times I've wondered how
This creature so bright, so lovely,
Had such a short life span.
****
Do they become the angels
Who guard us so faithfully,
With their protective hand?
****
It's a subject to surely ponder
But, not for very long.
I must enjoy them now
For soon they will be gone.
****
A soft breeze touches my cheek.
It's such a pleasant thing.
Maybe it's not the wind at all.
Could it be an angel's wing.?
****
