Tis Amazing Grace for Us
Must accept my given destiny
what ever fate has planned for me
I must accept and not complain
even when there's too much rain
The sun shines brightly today
sending a ray of hope my way
letting faith reach out to others now
to help them some way some how
I must not give in to despair
I must remember God is there
I know He cares for every one
was the reason He gave His only son
It is not His wish for anyone to perish
the Bible holds promises for us to cherish
pray often asking for more of God's grace
until we are able to meet Him face to face
Older folks went through hard times
they never had the best of life's chimes
yet they learned and built characters fine
they didn't just sit around and whine
Amazing grace how sweet the sound
it saved a wretch like me so profound
forgave my sins put sweet peace within
giving my life a very different kind of spin
