Get Rid Of The Advertisements

Reflections within my heart

I raised my face to the sky, to catch the sun
it’s soft warmth bathed my smiling face
flower blossoms adorned the trees
a red crested robin sat, singing,

praising the coming spring season
I sat on a tree stump, enjoying the taste
of fresh new oranges and ripe berries,
licking the sweet nectar from my fingers

Bouquets of color burst free in joyous gaiety
Dressing the land in bursts of laughter
As kids frolic among the spring colors
Chasing butterflies and wild dreams

I closed my eyes and breathed in spring’s birth
Warm sweet floral scents, songs from trees
And rooftops, spiced apple pies baking in
Some kitchen, to some child’s delight

This brought me to a place, long neglected
Within the pastel reflections of my heart
precious tokens of my past, I realized then;
that my spiritual growth had been stymied

I sank quietly into a calm sense of peace
And awareness that caused my heart to swell
The touch of the wind caressed my cheek
and its force corrected my step; forward

At that moment I heard the whispers of wisdom
So that I am now back on the right track
Guided by the light of the moon, love in my heart,
And the promise whispered from Heaven
