Teen

Ah, the angst of the teenage years.
The bitter tones, the angry tears.
The pressures found within your peers.

With one goal you are inspired,
you want, you need to be admired,
for your ego, it's required.

You want popularity,
in spite of your temerity,
you long for solidarity.

I almost heard you as you squealed,
for I saw things you thought concealed,
for your weakness has been revealed.

With your banner still unfurled,
just emerging to the world,
you're a new age teenage girl.

Cherry's private challenge 'Your Rhyme'

I had to fix up the word squealing and change it to squealed...funny mistake to make..lol
