Broken
No stars shine in the sky tonight
The moon hides somewhere
above the clouds out of sight
The night is black
I hear the wind sigh
As silent tears from my eyes start ~~
Broken vows and broken hearts
I hear thunder roll, see lightning flash
Alone, I wonder thru the empty house
I wonder where you are right now
You broke my heart like shattered glass
As I stood there thinking, “This too shall pass”
I guess it really doesn’t matter anyhow ~~
Broken hearts and broken vows
As the wind blows fiercely thru the trees
The fireplace burns invitingly
In my minds eye I relive memories
Of happier times when love was enough
When I thought nothing could ever tear us part
And I know this time there’ll be no new start ~~
Broken vows and broken hearts
~~
Life goes on and so will we.
But right now what you see is a broken hearted me!
