HEAVY HOPE
Closed windows of the house
Amber curtained, white laced, dark designed
Not any sunlight, any air reach within
Flooded with the heavy smell of male lust
Silence welling from the core of the inside miniature
Battery less radios, broken recorders, dead phones
Virused computers flat cushions, only yellow leaves
Injured bird bleeding profusely
Flapping overwrought
No bondages, no ointments, no healers
Darkness like eclipse enveloped everywhere
Yet attempts to glide upwards
Slowly, stealthily pushes the window
And joins the green, freely, wheeling birds high and low.
HEAVY HOPE
