Mixed Emotions
Mixed emotions struggling within my soul
Pulling left and right don't know which way to go
My heart says to listen to the words you say
My head tells me to run quickly away
It has been so long without a call from you
I'd settled in my mind that we were through
But when I heard your voice my heart did melt
A flood of mixed emotions within me I felt
The problem now is I've lost the trust
To prove your love to me now you must
Games with you I will not play
If your love is not real then I will walk away
This time with you I will take it slow
The more time that passes then I will know
If you keep the promises you are making to me
If our love is real and it is meant to be
So many mixed emotions in my heart
Let's begin again make a brand new start
And then this time if it does come to pass
Only then will I be sure this love will last
