SOUL SHADOWS
I talked to God the other night
Sharing daily thoughts and things
Need to keep in touch you see
For all the peace He always brings
I don't have to tell him where I am
Or what I've been doing with my time
You see, He already knows all that
He knows this heart that's mine
I've been God's child for quite some time
And that alone can bring such peace
Knowing that you do belong to Him
His miracles will never cease
The older I grow, the closer I grow
It just seems to be how it goes
If there is some reason...
It's the Father-All who would know
What love and grace He's given me
I know that I am naught alone
For He is with me everyday
Right here in my humble home
I know He's taking extra care
I feel it as I grow old
That's why He protects me
With the shadows on my soul
He knows my life's an open book
But teaches some things I should keep
So, they are tucked within the Soul
For the Holy Spirit to always keep
He's got me covered, Hallelujah
What more could this soul say
I love you Father-All, I do
And I'm so glad You came my way
my angel keeps the shadow of my soul .....
