Christ our Savior has risen it is proclaimed throughout history
He rose on Easter Day
The heavy stone was rolled away
The rich man's tomb was found empty
No man to grieve
Grief and sorrow done away
He walked away from death
Eternal life His victory
Christ defeated Satan at the cross
He descended and ascended
He took back the keys from death and hades
His sword the word of the Living God
Rejoice, rejoice
Sound the trumpet
Our Savior has risen from the dead
Rejoice, rejoice, play the drums
Satan is beneath our feet
Crucified and nailed to the cross
His blood shed for our sins
He rose on the third day
To shout victory
It is proclaimed throughout history
He died to take away all our sin
No longer bound to the law
The sinner can find forgiveness
Through our Lord and Savior
Jesus Christ
You who worship other gods
Of money and greed
Of lust and self pleasure
Who lay up your own treasure
It is not too late to take up the cross
And follow the man that died for all our sin
Look and see what our Lord has done
He has healed the brokenhearted
He has lifted the oppression
You are no longer defeated
By His blood you are saved
By His blood you are healed
Rejoice, Rejoice
Sound the trumpet
Blow the shofar
Tell the world that our Savor is alive
That the true Messiah has arrived
He is the same today as He was yesterday
He was raised from the dead
The stone rolled away
He conquered death for all believers
To save those who believe
In the Father Son an Holy Spirit
Rejoice in our Savior
He was born for this day
To take sin away
He died for all sin
He was born on Christmas Day
Wrapped in swaddling cloths
With death cloths wrapped around Him
He was born to conquer death
Born of a virgin and not from the seed of man
That passes sin from generation to generation
His father the Creator of Heaven and earth
