Heaven answers
I've waited a long time for this day to come
a phone call, an email, a message from above
something to tell me i should never give up
and to hang on maybe for good luck
I knew in my heart that i was in the right place
and if i was patient i would get my reward
so i waited and i cried and i never gave up
placing confidence in this one called the lord
and at the right time, in the corner where i stood
at a time when i fell silent in cries
i opened the window as my heart nearly sunk
my son stood staring me in the eyes
a message from heaven as he said what i knew
anticipation awaited hoping to read one more
24 hrs later he jumps on the computer and says
meet me on yahoo so we can speak some more
from that day forward my heart has been whole
and my purpose to live has begun
happiness overwhelms me as the days move forward
learning that he is the stronger one
i knew it'd be hard in the beginning
to relive a past i once knew
having to share all of the sad times lived
that lead to me losing you
but jimmy you give me strength each day
as we listen and learn and grow
the life you were given has taught you well
a hard admittance for one to know
i'm glad that the wait is finally over
and my worries can come to rest
but from this day forward i'll be here for you
or atleast i'll try my best
you've always held a special place in my heart
one that only a mother knows
and as life moves forward that place will expand
as our future begins to compose
