Dancing with the DeviL

i danced with the devil once or twice
said 'what will u offer me?'
he lacked what i wanted so i looked away
told god, i'll serve you today

a few years between of back and forth
til i finally found my pleasure
figured i'd play around a while
told god, ' i'll b back later.'

traveling a journey into the unknown
all the while, her mind's been astray
the way she's always lost within herself
hating the world and their way

pretending to be this someone she's not
and submit her heart to the game
poking around the fence of survival
to keep the respect of her name

blind fools whistle tunes of trust
obsorbing false pitty well played
once you've been the victim of abuse
perspectives of reality become swayed

from the corridors of Laughter she hides
darkness cloaks her from within
becoming the one she hated so much
by the teeth of anger she'd been bitten

never question his rule of authority
he means every word......
if he promises you will pay the price,
it will happen, rest assured.
