Alone
Time goes by,
So very slowly
as she goes through,
Another day
because,
she's old and feeble
is this the price,
she must pay?
To die at home,
All alone
without,
her loved ones near
I can't imagine,
What she thinks
as she wipes away,
Her tears.
she worked,
so hard all of her life
To raise her family ,
now she's sitting,
in her house alone
in what used to be,
a loving home.
Thinking,
about the old days
and finding herself,
living there,
alone
because,
the life she has now
is just too much,
for her to bear.
If only,
she could see them
More often
the loved ones,
She holds so dear
if only,
She could,
feel their touch
their voices,
she longs hear.
A gentle hand
to wipe away
her tears
Her life,
Would be complete,
If only her family
Would stop by,
then she may not,
be afraid,
To say goodbye
But she fears,
Deep inside her heart
in this house alone,
She will die
She feels
She has,
no one to talk to
No one,
to tell her troubles to
No one,
around to listen
or brush away her tears
When she feels
Sad and blue
Lord she gets so lonely
Inside that house
Everything’s so quiet
Only sound, she hears
Is the creaking,
of the house
The only comfort,
she can find
Is when she sits down,
at her computer
And she goes
Online
There she writes,
her heart out
Let’s her feeling’s,
be known
She writes it like a letter
And forms it into a poem
She adds,
some pretty pictures
And a song too
She sits back,
and rereads it
Then posts it
Then she shares it
With me and you
We can’t,
replace her family
However ,
we can be her friend
We can welcome her,
into our hearts
That’s where real friendships
