False Emotions
When first we met, we felt such magic.
Things seemed so wonderful back then.
We soon found our love just illusions
Of what should have been.
Were we in love with love,
Trying much too hard to succeed,
Just going through the motions
To fulfill our physical needs?
No need to keep on hanging on
To emotions riddled with decay.
We're at a crossroads, you and I
Goodbye is just a breath away.
