Garden Awakening

The eye-catching beauty
Of clusters of perennials
Please the eye.
Fragrances
From my annual garden
Intoxicate.

Daisies and tulips are lovely now
Breezes broadcast
The scent of lilacs.
My old bike basket,
A planter,
To rejuvenate.

And high atop the apple tree,
In her well constructed nest,
Mrs. Robin sits and oversees
With her ever-watchful mate.
