SO, Now What

glitter-graphics.com

The wind has just been knocked from your sails
Your heart ripped from your chest
You’ve been punched in the gut
Now What?

The life style you grew accustom too will be downsized
Your frivolous spending will end
And a budget you’ll put in place
So now what?

glitter-graphics.com

You’ll attend workshops on learning how to cope
And what about the one on Job Search Strategies
And then will come the day when you’ll walk away for good
Then What?

glitter-graphics.com

First you’ll be in shock and denial
And wonder at where things went so wrong
The tears will flow
And then next anger will come .

Then as the months pass you will learn what is truly important
Your family, friends and yourself
And you will once again become a part
Of the outside world

But for now
So now what?
My well being and my family come first
And I’m taking the summer off.

glitter-graphics.com

I will collect my thoughts and my severance too
While coping with how I feel
For at my age
It’s hard to look at this with zeal

glitter-graphics.com

For suddenly to find yourself
With your pink slip in hand
Is no easy task
And a little time for me now is all I ask.

glitter-graphics.com

Never did I dream
In any way, shape or form
That at my age
I would be asking “Now what?”

glitter-graphics.com

So yes I lost my job
And never was it my fault
But for now I wait and see
And take the summer off.

(Last Tuesday the staff of the Wheels Inn walked into a Status Update meeting to hear that as of June 30th 110 staff will permenantly be loosing their jobs. Sadly we were all taken by shock.. Never was there any hint that the hotel would be closing...to reopen undernew management and what we had all strived to keep alive will be gone soon. This stituation has inspired 'SO , now what. hugs Landis)
