My Poem
I'm patiently waiting to write a new poem
A poem written well with concise
A poem that's so grand the people who read it
will comment and be very nice
A poem not to sadden but bring you good news
A poem that will never be rude
A poem to encourage thus lifting you up
to help you be in a good mood.
This poem must be able to capture attention
A poem you may just want to keep
A poem so exciting you'll read to your family
At bedtime and not fall to sleep
I'm sitting and wondering just how I will write it
and will it bring someone delight
A poem for your children to share in their classroom
A poem they may want to recite
Still thinking and waiting for thoughts in my head
to come rushing about and explode
I sit here and wait,I will not be hasty
For time is setting the mode
