‘I think I would like to ‘live’,
before I die my friends.
There’s so much more I want to give,
but soon my time here ends.’
‘Fore my birth there was a need,
provide a faith and hope.
So my task was ‘plant the seed’,
and the righteous then should cope.’
‘Please remember me my friends,
as we talk and dine tonight.
Though there will be many trends,
please walk a path that’s right.’

Still standing, church and laws,
to guide us past temptation.
So it’s right that we should pause,
and be thankful for creation.
His sacrifice was long ago,
and for us his blood did pour.
His word has carried on,
and it will forevermore...
