Midnight Dance
When together
music fills my heart
with sweetest of love songs
and imagination
waltzes
with dance of desire
in hallways of my mind
I follow your lead
'neath blanket of stars
April moon illuminating
that look
in your eyes
we sway to midnight
serenade
our every heartbeat
echoing its harmony
in perfect synchrony
we move to rhythm
of the night
find a closeness
as flesh
melds one into other
surrendering
mind, body and soul
contentment lingers
as I drift off to sleep
still cradled in your arms
and as morning
kisses nakedness
I smile
in just
remembering
