Sands Of Time

Sands of time stretch onward like rising tide
With each other we continue to abide
Never forsaking or commitment denied
Security and confidence to each other provide

A lifetime with you simple and sweet
No complications to cause defeat
An even run of temperament repeat
Not filled with highs and lows or deceit

Almost boring to a certain degree
Don't always with each other agree
You want to do that, I do the other spree
Yet we honor our lifetime decree

Always there to help each other through
God made woman to be man's helpmate too
Till death us part, not ever saying adieu
Through thick and thick I stand by you

Sometimes difficult for us to converse
Our beliefs and thoughts often perverse
Into separate hobbies we do immerse
Our wants and needs are very diverse

Each into our own little world we retreat
Doing our own thing to our own replete
We often must be cautious and discreet
To remain together and not compete
