Starliters Nine
Always a while I know,
twixt writing for this series.
So some effort here I’ll show,
before you send me ‘queries’
Starliters One to Eight,
feature thirty five by name.
Now some more that we all rate,
among our best they can claim.
Take a journey with me now,
just thinking of these writers.
These folk should take a bow,
they’re all much loved Starliters.
Wisdom flows straight from the pen,
of the one called Mary Anne.
Knowing just ‘what’ happened ‘when’,
and writes it ‘cause she can.
This lady is retired,
but good times she’ll recall.
On here she is admired,
quite simply by us... all.
We have an English rose,
that we all know as Kate.
Flying Flynn is what she chose,
when a pen name she’d create.
Her ‘Departure’ series showed,
so many of us here.
In the dark side, love still glowed,
filled with passion, not with fear.
In your country if you’ve pride,
as Cherry K sure does.
Don’t keep it deep inside,
write about it, share with us.
Selfless friend to those who’ve lost,
in human tribulations.
She helps reduce life’s cost,
for some of God’s creations.
Debera is our Abbasewe,
with music she cavorts.
She is creative too,
a photographer of sorts.
Not alone although she’s single,
her faith is fresh and strong.
In life she feels a tingle,
her God follows her along.
Cheryl Stewart’s education,
was improved in later years.
Good results brought her elation,
and banished many fears.
She’s known success in life,
and though now is disabled.
Head-on she tackles strife,
through God’s love she’s enabled.
Like stained glass windows in a room,
are variously bright.
These people banish gloom,
they’re fellow poets at Starlite.
