diatribe

barn owls looking out of a barn window - germany

tirade, harangue, diatribe

a harsh denunciation unlike any other
an attack so brutal
it acted as the jaws of death
to a once precious relationship

felicity once romped in multi-colored loveliness
now the desolate black and white of anger
mutes the atmosphere
the view through this window can not be altered
so it shall ever remain

there is no victor here
perhaps you have now learned
(albeit too late)
written words are impossible to erase

tirade, harangue, diatribe
