Sunrise in her eyes

As we watch the sunset settling into its purple horizon
like true lovers in a never ending romance.

Then the darkness of the night brings us closer together
embraced in each other’s cuddling arms.

As we then watch the rising of the moon come over the pine tree ridge
slowly creeping higher and higher into the sky, as if it knew we were waiting for its arrival.

Time passes slowly but surely when you’re making love,
as the moon reaches its climax to a full bright orange glow in the midnight sky.

Talking for hours, then watching the event of a once in a life time,
as the rising sun kisses the moon good morning.

I then turn to my lover and place a kiss upon her lips
as I open my eyes to see an enchantingly beautiful sunrise in her eyes.
