Get Rid Of The Advertisements

One Solitary Note
Yes, I am but one solitary note,
One shimmer in the sunlight on your face,
One word within some lost, prolific quote,
A touch so light you scarce can feel its trace.

When twilight in cascading increments
With pewter mists caresses passing day,
The value of each graduating tint
Is held there in between near-white and gray.

And although sometimes life can be unfair,
Uncertain steps still triumph mountain crests.
For all that's certain is this breath of air.
This music in your soul's a gift possessed.

Our lives are made of moments transient,
Reflections cast along a tattered fence.
In sunset's glow or rising moon's assent
Alfresco dreams sing love without pretense.

The precious song one's lifetime will denote's
Embedded in each solitary note.
