Seasons of Love

In the spring their love was sparkly new
The glow brightened everything they would do
They looked forward to having a gorgeous home
A few children and never to be alone

Summer came, their life was in bloom
Days passing fast... Time seemed to zoom
They now have a home, children are here
They are busy with a successful career

Then beauty of autumn quickly appeared
Some of the tension has disappeared
Now they travel a much slower pace
Settling down from the fast rat race

Winter sets in and makes a change
Things in their life they must rearrange
Children are grown, now on their own
They are both left feeling some what alone

The rest of the life that they have left
Must be met with togetherness... Not bereft
Days come and go... It can become so boring
Each other they should not be ignoring

They should seek some joy and contentment
Let go of all the built up resentment
Their aches and pains are not a few
Soon their processions others will accrue

Their forever love will never end
Through all seasons it has survived
One glance into each other's loving eyes
It once again becomes revived.
