Reflecting on what used to be
how once love bloomed

storms diminished
gray turned blue
rainbows danced
within our view
you filled my heart

renewed lost hope
to carry on
broke down walls
around my soul
promised me
forevermore
remembering words
sincerely said
dark secrets shared
as best of friends
hugs and laughter
warmed our hearts
better 'morrows
brand new start
'til the end
we'd always be
concrete bond

without a trace
lonely tears
stream down my face
an empty shell
alone and blue
heart is broken
torn in two
