Borrowed

Borrowed

Moon pens restless verse
Borrows ink of midnight sky
Spilled before the dawn
Sonnets scribbled upon stars
Slips into summer's morning

And moon lays its quill against horizon's thoughts...boundless, unbridled and unbelievably pure. Words splash, dripping onto nature's canvas... flowing between day and night... and back again. Coloring clouds with rhyme. Framing sun in spirited prose as it rises... higher, higher. Moon smiles, tucks away one last drop of borrowed ink, and winks its farewell... marking his place in this ongoing journal of time.
