Escaping Shadows
Yesterday's shadows left behind
Accepting peace to ease my mind
Dancing there no more
Needing to explore
Through the door
Seek to find
Escaping chains locked to the past
Burdens lifted I'm free at last
To twirl and to spin
Find meaning again
Life again
Appears vast
Opportunities worth taking
From new beginnings I'm making
My chances to try
In tomorrow lie
Won't pass by
Forsaking
Stepping out of the shadows cast
I make peace with the distant past
Freed from angry brood
Enlightened dark mood
Life renewed
Free at last
