Stony Roads

Women Comments

I seemed alone on stony roads,
that faded along the darkness.
Accompanied by the clamor of the wind,
alittle bit of madness...

I walked through many fields,
hurrying to hear the songs
of merriment along my way,
not wanting my direction
to go wrong.

Dark clouds begin to mass up,
blanketing the horizon.
I pick up my steps and drag
my music along my travels;
in no-man's-land,

hoping to reach my destiny.

Across the landscape, unfamiliar
and well known,
a melody follows in lyrics.

My strength starts to return,
and I now see the lies,
that entered in my
disoriented mind.

I see now that my footsteps
were well guided by the winds
that traveled beside me,
and kept me aware,
of trickling defeat...

I never did loss my sight
or my goal,
'cause God guided
my feet, over each
motley stone...
