Confidence

When people hear the stories
of what's happened in my life,
they shake their heads in wonder
of how I coped with all that strife.

They claim they'd never manage
and that they're not strong enough
but I reckon we do what we have to
when things in our lives get tough.

When changes come, we manage,
there's no point caving in;
though the changes may be drastic
and your life is in a spin.

But I've not had to do it on my own,
God's been there all the way.
I'd never have managed without Him
when life was broken and in disarray.

That's why my faith is rock-like,
why I wear this silly grin;
it's all about being confident
in the Lord, Who dwells within.
