I Love You Mother

I don’t know what I would do without you
All of my life you have been there for me
You always kept me grounded
For reasons that I could not see
You provided me
With shelter, food and clothes
And to you a great deal
Is what I owe
You have protected me
From all of the bad things out there
You say a prayer for me every night
To fight off the evil spirits in the air
You would still buy me things
Even when I was bad
And when it comes down to it
You are a much better parent than dad
I know that sometimes
We don’t agree on certain things
But every single day
You teach me a lesson it seems
You are the greatest inspiration
In my life
And when it comes to your baby boy
You know just what’s right
You have made me into the man
That I am today
And I wouldn’t have it
Any other way
So mom I just want you to know
That no matter what I say or do
Just always remember
That I love you
