Good Morning

Morning’s light is mirrored
in curbside puddles
shadows fracture newborn sunbeams
into fragmented prisms
palm fronds whisper secrets
to rubber tree branches
a rainbow of fragrant blossoms winks at me
while the breeze dances with my worry lines
suddenly the impossible seems almost probable
it’s time to smile “good morning” to my life
