When Doubts of Life Assail
When doubts of life assail
and we find it hard to prevail
turn to God and seek His way
then we will have a brighter day.
When shadows of the night
creep in to give us fright
ask the Lord to keep us safe
take away irritations that chafe.
Beyond the realms of reality
presides mysteries of morality
buried deep within every soul
pleasing God should be our goal.
When trials and tribulations hover
then it's Jesus we need to discover
casting upon Him our every care
because we know He is always there.
He meets us with outstretched hands
reveals to us His carefully chosen plans
leading into paths of righteousness sweet
where life for us will be more complete.
Hand in hand we travel the rest of our life
accepting His help in times of trouble and strife
enjoying His love and forgiveness forever
in every aspect of life in which we endeavor.
