Perfection

Perfection

Gathering secrets of twilight

A summer morning stretches itself awake,
Opening sleepy eyes to silent songs,
Embracing that infinitesimal moment
When the sun erases the moon

And I... I simply close my eyes, breathing
Of this quiet enchantment, and sipping
Slowly of dawn's sweet perfection...

Tasting the wind of no direction and
Touching the words in every dream, inhaling
The scent of every thought, hearing all things
Left unspoken... and finding contentment

Gathering secrets of twilight
