God's Guiding Light
We cannot face the future, until the future faces us
we cannot cross a bridge until we come to it,
if we place our trust in the one who holds the future
we depend upon Him if we are willing to submit.
It is always darkest just before the dawn of day
remember when the darkness passes it will be light,
look for the rainbow after each shower of rain
see how crisp the flowers look and how bright.
There are always mountains we must climb
and when we are able to reach the top,
we can look in awe from whence we came
and take caution that we don't flop.
Never look down upon others
while looking upward to yourself so high,
except by God's guiding light in our path
to us their misfortunes might apply.
