As I sit here thinking about you day and night

I remember and can still feel you holding me so tight

You were always so loving gentle sweet and kind

We never said good-bye you will be 'forever on my mind'




When you walked into the room our eyes met

And our smiles we gave each other I won't forget

You always made me feel like your one and only

I never thought that you would ever leave me lonely




No man has ever held me in their arms and loved me

The way that you always did I'd give anything to be

In your loving arms again even after all of these years

We've been apart I still wake up to find my pillow wet from tears




It takes a really strong love to keep a woman thinking of

A man she still loves from years ago and misses his sweet love

I could never forget the love we had how our bodies entertwined

In moments of deep passion you will be 'forever on my mind'




Although we have both moved on love will never be the same

For I know I had your loving heart but she had your name

What makes me happy is going back in the past when we were together

Listening to our old love songs wishing we would've lasted forever




True I am with someone new but he could never be you

He is very good to me but oh if he ever knew his heart would break into

If he only knew my heart is still with you and I can't put our past behind

I can't forget the love we knew and you'll always stay 'forever on my mind'
