BEAUTY, NOT

I was sitting on my computer late one night,
Had my window open and screen in tight.
I heard a noise, but thought was my cat.
Then it got louder and thought was a bat.

Annoyed at being disturbed, I had to look,
What was facing me was like out of book,
As big as a small bird, not pretty and delicate.
It sure wanted in and I almost sh#$.

Not a moth for have seen many of those,
Most I find quite irritating and gross.
It was something I always thought beautiful,
Floating in sunlights rays, not at night though.

It was one honking big ugly butterfly,
Brown and it's body fat, two more times would try.
Was I blessed to see one at night,
Maybe but what an ugly sight.
