Edgar Allan Poe,
a famous man so full of mystery,
and macabre history.
Writing poems of darkness like The Black Cat and The Raven,
caught the publics attention.
He married a young girl at the tender age of only 13.
Edgar Allen Poe died when he was but 40,
still a mystery today.
Did God have his revenge...
although some say alcohol,and drugs played a big part,
in his earthly demise,
but I guess your guess is as good as mine.
Now his wife a child bride at 13 died very young,
that might be some reasons for his alcohol and drug use,
and his macabre of horror.
His mind dwelt on death, the effects of decomposition,
concerned with premature burial,
the dead and mourning,
makes me think..
could I walk in his shadow....
