Remembering that early call
When events were set in motion
My heart beating rapidly
Disbelieving and hoping
Ecstatic and frightened
Wondering if July 13th
Would be the day
I would remember forever
Today I celebrate life
Two years from the day
With my world spinning
Uncertainty surrounding
Waiting, waiting, waiting
Confused in the chaos
Of conflicting emotions
Let it be me, let this day be mine
Today I celebrate life
Feelings rushing back to me
Shedding blended tears
Of gratitude and loss
Of ending and beginning
Of happiness and sorrow
And I am inspired, determined
To celebrate the miracle
That took place this day
Take a moment today
To celebrate life,
Live every second, every moment
In honor of my donor, in honor of my miracle
CELEBRATE LIFE!!!!!
Ever in gratitude I dedicate this write and this day to my donor
who left this world July 13, 2007 but not before giving me two
precious gifts.
