No More Left to Give
What if I were crying and running into your arms
Seeking your embrace amidst life’s dreadful storm
Would you offer me your comfort a kind and gentle touch
Or withhold compassion and solace afraid I’ll take too much
Perhaps if I were smiling and running into your arms
You’d then run to meet me, allured by joyful charms
Hoping I’d surrender a moment of simple bliss
feeding off my spirit, selfishly you subsist
Reminiscent of a vampire exsanguinating my soul
You devour my very essence never counting for the toll
Soon I’ll be depleted, a lifeless empty shell
No more left to give my life’s a living hell
