Magical Poetry

A delightful rush
of illusions,
a playful quirk
in every bush,
a mighty sword
that never scathes—
such is the power
of words…

There are words
to calm the sea,
a dozen runways
to the sky;
the sun, the moon
and all else in between—
a truth to glamorize
every lie…

A witty comparison
is never short
of swinging complexities
into simpler prose;
a muse so nibby
can get invariably lost,
and without let or choice obliged
to kiss a kermit’s nose.

Come take an unswerving stand,
noble and proud,
among mighty warriors
and garish crowd;
to fight with courage,
a loving heart to defend—
to live and love
to the very end!

Indeed, there’s no measuring
the breadth of wonders,
in magical poetry
abound;
a peek of curiosity
through a veil of clouds,
a wondrous slip
into Tinseltown…
