Pattern of Love
You artfully tatted our love
into beautiful lace,
intricate patterns
so full of light.
Emotion and security overlap
with reaffirming grace,
each juxtaposition
seemed right.
Strands of joy meander this cloth
of our love,
surprise worked in
for effect.
Entwined in its midst is
an understanding of
the heat our hearts
can detect.
Cover me softly with this
afghan of passion,
feeling each element
for its own.
Respect and fidelity arrives
in this fashion,
a union only the lucky
have known.
