Double Trouble

Rime Enchainee

When I see a lantern burning,
yearning fills my being.
Seeing amber lamp-light,
bright and glowing there;
glare as gas flames flicker,
quicker, now you're nearing...
fearing there'll be trouble,
double trouble, like back then.
