Doctor, Calm Down

It was a mere slip of the tongue.
He never meant to defame.
It wasn't as if he called you
A derogatory name.

Now, you have your dander up,
Doctor, your bristles are showing.
You're acting like a Banty Rooster,
Jumping to conclusions, without knowing.

Here, let me take your blood pressure
You've made this a stressful situation.
You can't come into the office shouting.
Doctor, you know the regulations.

Calm down, now you're doing better
It's good to occasionally vent.
I'm writing you a referral
You could use anger management.

The man made an honest mistake
In the parking spot he did secure.
He assures me he didn't realize
It was reserved for you, Doctor.

I've cancelled your afternoon appointments.
The waiting room has emptied, now rest.
Really, Doctor, You should heed your own advice.
Avoid unnecessary STRESS!
