Cherished memories
When I was a young girl I was always glad I had an older sister
As children we were always close with one another
I have many fond memories as children with her
Many also of my grandmother that was always there with us
My sister would also help me with my Brownie uniform
Making sure the Brownie hat was on the right way with the design at the front
As children we got along so well and always went places together
Sure like any sisters are we had our share of disagreements and fights
Many life lessons I learned from her, with her being the oldest
We both seemed to enjoy the same toys and also clothes
Often she would give me her hand me downs since I was the youngest
I never minded and in fact I always enjoyed the styles she would wear
My grandma always took us to church on a Sunday
My sister and I always putting on our Sunday best clothes for the day
You always knew when my grandmother was baking something
The house was always warm with her being around each day
My sister and I would often help out making the scones and tea
Sometimes she would make us dolls with her own loving hands
She often would teach us to knit and how to crotchet that we loved doing
I remember she would take my tiny hands at the time and help me out
One Christmas I fondly remember that we made a family quilt with my grandma
She knitted and signed our names on the quilt saying me wee ones I love you. Love Nana
It was such a beautiful quilt we made that year. I still have it all these years later
I have so many cherished memories of my childhood days of my grandmother, sister and me
