Night and Day

When sunshine tops the mountain, surely it is day.
darkness flees lightheartedly as lovely morning breaks
falls of crystal water babble delightfully
loudly gushing over rocks, echoed by lyre-bird sweetly
on wings of myriad flying things, life is celebrated
your heart must rejoice with them, or joy might pass you by
side by side we dwell here, with every living creature
of gratitude, each tiny thing gives thanks to God in song
this world is full of miracles, each moment life goes on
planet Earth created for the love of me and mine.
