Get Rid Of The Advertisements

ONE CHRISTMAS

MY CHILDREN WERE VERY SMALL
IT WAS NEARING CHRISTMAS EVE
I HAD NO MONEY TO BUY THE THINGS
FOR MY BABIES TO BRING.

I CRIED AND PRAYED FOR SOMETHING
TO HAPPEN SO I COULD HAVE FOR
MY KIDS SOMETHING UNDER THE
TREE. I BEGAN TO THINK I WOULD
HAVE TO SAY I'M SORRY BABY NOT
THIS YEAR.

I HAD A SMALL JOB HARDLY ANY
MONEY CAME FROM IT, I HAD
PUT A FEW THINGS IN THE LAYAWAY
HOPING I COULD GET THEM OUT.

MY HUSBAND WASN'T WORKING A USUAL
THING WITH HIM, HE THOUGHT I
WAS CRAZY FOR CRYING ABOUT SUCH
A LITTLE THING AS THIS.

ALL DAY I CRIED ON CHRISTMAS EVE
I COULDN'T HELP MY SELF, SOME
HOW MY AUNT HEARD ABOUT THIS
AND CAME OVER TO SEE ME SHE
SAID I HAD LOANED HER SOME
MONEY THAT SHE HAD COME TO
RETURN JUST ENOUGH TO GET MY
BABIES THEIR CHRISTMAS THINGS
SHE HAD LEARNED.

I KNEW I HADN'T LOANED HER ANY
MONEY FOR I HAD NONE TO LOAN
IT PROVES THAT CHRISTMAS MIRICALES
DO EXIST AND I'M A WITNESS OF ONE.
