Two Faced

The ugly face of gossip
Sprouts warts along the way
And deep dark shadowed wrinkles
With each half-truth we say.
And, soon, we cannot recognize
or remember it, in its youth.
How sad, those wagging tongues,
Forever blemish
The lovely face of truth.
