Get Rid Of The Advertisements

unfounded discontent

flipping through pages
of outrageous circumstance
my mind peruses content for
a future destination:
some otherworldly place without
realities to face.
i glance into eternity
with broad anticipation.

searching for a singularity,
a paradise,
or just a paradox suffice:
a moment.
in time relinquishing the 'now'
extinguishing as sacrifice
the lot which falls to me
disquised as torment.

what utter decadence to scan
the infinite's horizons
for better thing than
destinies allow
how arrogant to shun the fate
unto which i am granted
when nothing else awaits me
anyhow.
