Better Again
It's taken me so long
To finally accept it.
That something is wrong.
And I need to fix it.
So I tried on my own
For a little while
But it's well known
It takes more than one to smile.
So I asked for some help and,
Like a miracle, I got some.
It was as if a hand
Rested on my shoulder and no longer was I numb.
And I truly felt better
I can smile for real
The old me? Let's forget her.
That's how I really feel.
I don't know why
He helped me
But it would be a lie
To say I'm anything but happy.
After so many sad days
Now I can be delighted
At all the different ways
My joy can now be sighted.
So now I thank you
You really saved me.
Once again my light's renewed
So once again I can see
